This station is located in the Optimist Park neighborhood and opened on March 16, 2018. The featured artist for this station is Sharon Dowell. This station is on the edge of the neighborhood and the railroad is over-elevated and has covered seating. Red, yellow, and blue colors are combined to create interesting patterns. The station has a ramp and good lighting. The train station has covered seats, two ticket vending machines with audio and braille options, and a bike rack. From this place, you can see a very beautiful landscape of Charlotte both in the morning with the sunrise and at night with all of the lights on the buildings and skyscrapers. The station has greatly impacted the development of the surrounding area; there are many new apartment buildings with and without parking, and many commercial businesses, restaurants, and breweries have also opened. There are many important landmarks close to this station, one that you can visit that is within walking distance is Optimist Hall; which is a place where you can find many food options from different parts of the world as well as spaces to work. On the other side of the Light Rail is the Amtrak Charlotte Station.
